Um die L\u00e4nge zu messen, gab es etwa die Einheit &#8222;Fu\u00df&#8220;, Stoff wurde in &#8222;Ellen&#8220; gekauft (am Stephansdom ist noch eine &#8222;Elle&#8220; zu bestaunen) und ein Bauer bestellte eine bestimmte Anzahl an &#8222;Joch&#8220; Felder (ein Joch ist ein Feld von einer Gr\u00f6\u00dfe, dass an einem Tag mit einem Ochsengespann-Joch-bearbeitet werden konnte- altes Fl\u00e4chenma\u00df in Deutschland und \u00d6sterreich).<\/p>\n<p>Auch heute gibt es noch verschiedenen Einheiten, etwa kann man die Temperatur in &#8222;Grad Celsius&#8220; oder &#8222;Fahrenheit&#8220; messen, eine Strecke in &#8222;Kilometer&#8220; oder &#8222;Meilen&#8220; angeben. Auf hoher See f\u00e4hrt ein Schiff mit &#8222;Knoten&#8220; und Amerikaner messen ihre Grundst\u00fccke in &#8222;Acre&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Dennoch gibt es allgemeing\u00fcltige Einheiten, die auf der ganzen Welt verstanden werden und zumindest auf der Schule und Uni wird mit diesen Einheiten gerechnet.<br \/>\nWie sollte sonst die Investorin aus Kanada wissen, wie viel sie f\u00fcr ein &#8222;Joch&#8220; Baugrund zahlen sollte und ob sie Platz genug f\u00fcr ein Hotel hat. Und was soll der Verk\u00e4ufer antworten, wenn die Investorin meint, sie br\u00e4uchte mindestens 1 &#8222;Acre&#8220; Grund?<\/p>\n[ls_accordion][ls_accordion_section title=&#8220;SI-Einheiten&#8220;]1790 erhielt die franz\u00f6sische Akademie der Wissenschaften den Auftrag, ein einheitliches System f\u00fcr Ma\u00dfe und Gewichte zu entwerfen. Diese Ma\u00dfe wurden genau definiert, etwa 1 Gramm als Masse von 1 cm3 reinem Wasser bei 4 \u00b0C und einem Druck von 760 mm Quecksilbers\u00e4ule.<br \/>\nSeit 1889 gibt es Urma\u00dfe, auch wenn das Urmeter um etwa 0,2 mm zu kurz war und das Urkilogramm um etwa 0,027 g zu viel Masse hatte. Damals wurde auch das MKS-Einheitensystem mit den Basiseinheiten Meter (m), Kilogramm (kg) und Sekunde (s) eingef\u00fchrt. Im Laufe der Zeit kamen noch mehr Basiseinheiten dazu (z.B.Ampere oder Mol) und seit 1960 gibt es die Bezeichnung Syst\u00e8me International d\u2019Unit\u00e9s (SI) oder Internationales Einheitensystem.
