Ihre Schwester \u00c8ve Curie hat eine Karriere in eine andere Richtung eingeschlagen und wurde schrifstellerin.<\/p>\n<p>Im Alter von 8 zieht sie zu ihrem Gro\u00dfvater, da ihr Vater gestorben ist. Eugene Curie war auch derjenige der sie politisch erzog.<\/p>\n<p>Im Ersten Weltkrieg leitete sie, als 17 j\u00e4hrige erstmals, selbst\u00e4ndig eine R\u00f6ntgenstation in einem Milit\u00e4rkrankenhaus. Daneben studierte sie Mathematik und Physik in Paris und schloss 1920 beide F\u00e4cher mit dem Lizenziat ab.<\/p>\n<p>Nach dem Krieg arbeitet sie als unbezahlte wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Radium-Institut ihrer Mutter. Sp\u00e4ter erhielt sie dort einen Unterassistenten Posten. Dort lernte sie den Chemie-Laboranten Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Joliot kennen und lieben, den sie anleiten sollte.<\/p>\n<p>Die beiden heirateten am 1926. 1927 wurde sie erstmals Mutter von ihrer Tochter H\u00e9l\u00e8ne. 1932 erblickt auch ihr Sohn Pierre das Licht der Welt.<\/p>\n<p>Ir\u00e8ne Joliot-Curie engagierte sich stark in der Politik, vor allem um den Frauen die gleichen M\u00f6glichkeiten wie den M\u00e4nnern zu erm\u00f6glichen. Die Nobelpreistr\u00e4gerin trat als Staatssekret\u00e4rin f\u00fcr Wissenschaft und Forschung in die Regierung ein und geh\u00f6rte damit zur ersten Gruppe von drei Frauen, die jemals in Frankreich ins Kabinett berufen wurden, damals hatten Frauen in Frankreich noch nicht einmal das Wahlrecht. Ir\u00e8ne blieb nur drei Monate auf dem Posten da es ihr nur um ein Zeichen der Frauenbewegung ging.<\/p>\n<p>1950 wurde sie gemeinsam mit ihrem Ehemann ein Mitglied der Deutschen Akademie der Wissenschaften. 1956 starb Ir\u00e8ne Joliot-Curie an Leuk\u00e4mie.[\/ls_accordion_section][ls_accordion_section title=&#8220;KLEINER FAMILIENSTAMMBAUM&#8220;]<a href=\"http:\/\/nawi.naturundbildung.at\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/familiensatammbaum-curie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2567\" src=\"http:\/\/nawi.naturundbildung.at\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/familiensatammbaum-curie-300x122.jpg\" alt=\"familiensatammbaum-curie\" width=\"300\" height=\"122\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nawi.naturundbildung.at\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/familiensatammbaum-curie-300x122.jpg 300w, http:\/\/nawi.naturundbildung.at\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/familiensatammbaum-curie.jpg 609w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n[\/ls_accordion_section][ls_accordion_section title=&#8220;ARBEITEN&#8220;]\n<p>Seit 1928 experimentierten Ir\u00e8ne und Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Joliot-Curie gemeinsam.<\/p>\n<p>1931 wiederholten Sie ein Experiment, das zuerst Walther Bothe und Herbert Becker ausgef\u00fchrt hatten. Sie hatten knapp die Entdeckung des Neutrons verpasst.<\/p>\n<p>1932 beobachtete das Forscherehepaar in einer Nebelkammer positiv geladene Elektronen, konnten dieses Ergebnis jedoch nicht einordnen und deutete es als Artefakt<\/p>\n<p>1933 gelang Ir\u00e8ne und Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Joliot-Curie die Entdeckung der k\u00fcnstlichen Radioaktivit\u00e4t, f\u00fcr die sie 1935 mit dem Chemienobelpreis ausgezeichnet wurden.<\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Joliot-Curie gelang 1934 ein entscheidendes Experiment<\/p>\n<p>Diesmal erfassten Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric und Ir\u00e8ne Joliot-Curie sofort die Tragweite ihrer Entdeckung.<\/p>\n<p>1934 pr\u00e4sentierten sie ihre Ergebnisse in der Akademie der Wissenschaften.<\/p>\n<p>Die Bedeutung ihrer Entdeckung l\u00e4sst sich kaum \u00fcberbewerten.<\/p>\n<p>Vor allem in der Biologie und Medizin hilft ihre Entdeckung der Forschung zu gro\u00dfen vorschritten.<\/p>\n<p>Der Chemienobelpreis von 1935 war bereits der dritte Nobelpreis in der Familie<\/p>\n<p>(1903 Physiknobelpreis an Pierre und Marie Curie, 1911 Chemienobelpreis an Marie Curie).<\/p>\n<p>1937 h\u00e4tte Ir\u00e8ne Joliot-Curie in einem weiteren Experiment beinahe die Kernspaltung entdeckt.<\/p>\n<p>Ir\u00e8ne Joliot-Curies Arbeit wurde durch den Zweiten Weltkrieg und seiner Tuberkulose-Erkrankung unterbrochen.
