August 1743 in Paris in eine wohlhabenden Familie geboren.<\/p>\n<p>Lavoisier studierte am Mazarino-Institut Rechtswissenschaften, wo er 1764 seinen Abschluss als Rechtsanwalt machte. Er hatte sich auf wissenschaftliche Forschung spezialisiert.<\/p>\n<p>Lavoisier gilt als Sch\u00f6pfer der Chemie als Wissenschaft.<\/p>\n<p>Er zeigte, dass bei einer chemischen Reaktion die Stoffmenge am Ende und zu Beginn der Reaktion gleich ist. Diese Experimente lieferten Beweise f\u00fcr das Gesetz der Erhaltung der Materie. Er untersuchte auch die Zusammensetzung von Wasser und nannte seine Komponenten Sauerstoff und Wasserstoff.<\/p>\n<p>Einige seiner Experimente untersuchten die Art der Verbrennung und zeigten, dass es sich um einen Prozess handelt, bei dem die Verbindung einer Substanz mit Sauerstoff stattfindet. Er enth\u00fcllte auch die Rolle von Sauerstoff bei der Atmung von Tieren und Pflanzen. Zusammen mit dem franz\u00f6sischen Chemiker Claude Louis Berthollet und anderen entwickelte er eine chemische Nomenklatur, ein System von Namen, die als Grundlage f\u00fcr das moderne System dient. Er beschrieb sie in der \u201eMethode der chemischen Nomenklatur\u201c (1787).<\/p>\n<p>Im Elemental Treaty of Chemistry (1789) kl\u00e4rte er den Begriff des Elements als eine einfache Substanz, die nicht durch irgendeine bekannte chemische Analysemethode geteilt werden kann. Er schrieb \u00fcber &#8222;Combustion&#8220; (Verbrennung) (1777) und \u00dcberlegungen zur Natur von S\u00e4uren (1778).<\/p>\n<p>Lavoisier war Mitglied der Akademie der Wissenschaften seit 1768. Er bekleidete verschiedene \u00f6ffentliche \u00c4mter, wie das des Staatsdirektors f\u00fcr die Herstellung von Schie\u00dfpulver im Jahr 1776, Mitglied einer Kommission, um ein einheitliches System von Gewichten und Ma\u00dfen im Jahr 1790 und Treasury Commissioner zu etablieren 1791.<\/p>\n<p>Er war auch F\u00fchrer der Bauern, verantwortlich f\u00fcr die Sammlung von Beitr\u00e4gen. Aus diesem Grund wurde er 1793 verhaftet. Er wurde vom Revolutionsgericht verurteilt und am 8.
