Sie sind die am einfachsten aufgebauten Kohlenwasserstoffe und\u00a0bestehen also nur aus Kohlenstoff- und Wasserstoff-Atomen.<\/p>\n<p>Diese sind ausschlie\u00dflich durch C-C- und C-H-Einfachbindungen miteinander verbunden.<\/p>\n<p><em>Allgemeine Summenformel:<\/em>C<em><sub>n<\/sub><\/em>H<sub>2<em>n<\/em>+2<\/sub><\/p>\n<p>Ihr Grundger\u00fcst kann aus unverzweigten aber auch aus verzweigten Kohlenstoffketten bestehen. Die unverzweigten hei\u00dfen n-Alkane und diese bilden eine homologe (gleichliegende) Reihe der Alkane. Die verzweigten Alkane hei\u00dfen i-Alkane (Isoalkane).<\/p>\n<p>Die gasf\u00f6rmigen Alkane (C1-C4, das hei\u00dft ein bis vier Kohlenstoffatome im Molek\u00fcl)) reagieren mit Gemischen mit Luft\/Sauerstoff unterschiedlicher Zusammensetzung durchaus explosiv.<\/p>\n<p>Von C6-C8 (z.B. Benzin) sind die Alkane sehr leicht entz\u00fcndlich und explosiv.
